Have you ever wondered how to build an addition on to a brick home when the original brick is no longer available? Most people just opt to do some alternative type of siding. It may be vinyl or some other type of painted siding. This is certainly a viable option but it becomes impossible to hide the fact that a portion was added on and will never look like part of the original design. We did an addition on a home awhile back and that is the exact dilemma we faced.

As you can see in the gallery below, the difference between the new brick and old brick is quite startling at this point! It is at this point when the homeowner starts to wonder if they made a big mistake!
Here is a view of the house after completion. These pictures were taken several years later and things are still looking really good. It’s not a perfect match but the casual observer would never notice or even think about it. What do you think?
